NightOwl is designed as a peaceful, anonymous sanctuary for meaningful human connection. While we fiercely defend user privacy, we maintain an uncompromising, zero-tolerance policy against any behavior that threatens the physical or emotional safety of our community.
2. Zero Tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
NightOwl maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We strictly prohibit and immediately terminate:
- Any promotion, transmission, or facilitation of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
- Any attempt to groom, contact, harass, or exploit children.
- Any predatory or dangerous language targeting minors.
3. Strict 18+ Age Restriction
NightOwl is strictly for adults aged 18 and older. We enforce this through:
- Mandatory Age Confirmation: Every user must confirm legal adulthood during onboarding.
- Expedited Removal: Any account identified as or suspected of being operated by a minor under 18 is permanently terminated immediately.
4. Safety by Design & User Controls
We empower every soul with real-time defensive tools:
- Instant One-Tap Blocking: Instantly block any user during or after any Voice call, Silent Telepathy chat, or Nest room. Blocked users are immediately silenced and can never be matched with you again.
- In-App Reporting: A dedicated, prominent Report button allows users to flag harassment, hate speech, inappropriate conduct, or safety concerns in seconds.
- Safe Talk & Resonance Filtering: Automated algorithmic guardrails monitor telemetry patterns to suppress abusive connection attempts before they reach you.
- On-Device App Lock: Protect your app from unauthorized physical access using local Biometrics (Fingerprint/Face) and PIN lock.
5. Moderation and Enforcement
Our safety and moderation systems prioritize user reports with high urgency. Measures taken against violators include:
- Permanent Device Banning: We revoke access at the cryptographic device level to ensure bad actors cannot create new accounts.
- Instant Disconnection: Any active call or chat flagged for dangerous behavior is immediately terminated.
6. Law Enforcement Cooperation
We actively cooperate with legal authorities and child safety organizations:
- We report any detected or suspected CSAM or child exploitation incidents to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant international law enforcement bodies.
- We assist verified law enforcement inquiries in strict accordance with legal subpoenas and applicable privacy laws.
7. User Data Deletion and Privacy Rights
NightOwl provides full self-serve data erasure tools:
- In-App Account Deletion: Go to Profile → Danger Zone → DELETE ACCOUNT to immediately wipe your soul profile, favorites, and match history.
- Direct Support Deletion Request: If you no longer have access to the app, you can submit a deletion request to our support team at support@nightowl.teslawizards.com.
8. How to Report a Concern
If you encounter any behavior violating these standards:
- Tap the Shield / Report icon during or immediately after any voice call, chat, or Nest room.
- Select the applicable violation category (Harassment, Inappropriate Language, Impersonation, Safety Concern).
- Optionally provide context for the review team and tap Submit.
