Welcome to NightOwl, operated by Tesla Wizards. We believe genuine human connection thrives only in an environment of absolute safety, mutual respect, and authentic privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how NightOwl handles data across our mobile application (Android) and web services.
2. Total Anonymity Architecture
NightOwl is engineered from the ground up on a Zero-Identity, Privacy-First framework. Unlike mainstream social media platforms, NightOwl does not collect or require:
- Your real name, legal identity, or date of birth
- Your personal email address for registration
- Your phone number or SMS verification
- Access to your personal address book or device contacts
- Links to your external social media profiles (Google, Facebook, Instagram)
- Real-life profile photos, camera reels, or video avatars
3. Information We Process & Data Minimization
To deliver real-time voice and text matching while upholding complete anonymity, we process only the bare minimum data:
- Soul Profile & Value Compass: Abstract interests, nocturnal moods, and philosophical preferences chosen during onboarding, used solely by The Oracle algorithm for anonymous compatibility pairing.
- Voice Resonance (Audio Streams): We do NOT record, listen to, transcribe, or store your voice calls. All audio is transmitted via encrypted real-time WebRTC channels and is never saved to physical disks or cloud storage.
- Silent Telepathy (Text Telepathy): Text exchanges between matched souls are encrypted in transit. Silent Telepathy messages are strictly ephemeral — they exist solely in memory during your active connection and are automatically purged upon session end or disconnection. We do not maintain historical chat logs.
- The Nests (Community Audio): Audio in community voice rooms is unrecorded and live. Dynamic avatar speaking indicators reflect real-time volume fluctuations locally and are not archived.
- On-Device Biometrics & PIN Security: If you enable App Lock (PIN or Biometric Unlock), all cryptographic keys and biometric credentials are processed exclusively on your local device via Android Keystore and BiometricPrompt. Biometric data never leaves your device and is never accessible to our servers.
- Online Presence & Directory: Anonymous presence tokens (e.g., "Active Under Moonlight") broadcast status in the All Souls directory solely to indicate availability for real-time pairing.
- Technical Device Metadata: Non-personally identifiable diagnostic data (OS version, device architecture, crash logs) to optimize low-latency WebSockets and audio streaming.
4. How We Use Information
The minimal data we process is used exclusively to:
- Facilitate real-time anonymous matchmaking through The Oracle engine.
- Establish low-latency, encrypted peer-to-peer and relayed voice/text sessions.
- Maintain platform security, defend against automated spam/bots, and enforce community safety.
- Enable one-tap user blocking and immediate muting of bad actors.
5. Data Retention, Account Deletion & Right to Erasure
Because we do not store chat histories or voice recordings, most interaction data ceases to exist the instant a call or chat concludes.
How to Delete Your Account: You maintain full sovereignty over your anonymous profile. You can permanently delete your soul profile, favorites, and all associated settings at any time directly within the app:
- Open the NightOwl app and tap your Profile tab.
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone.
- Tap DELETE ACCOUNT and confirm.
Upon confirmation, all server records associated with your anonymous soul token are wiped from active databases immediately and permanently purged from backups within 30 days. Alternatively, you may submit a deletion request via email to support@nightowl.teslawizards.com.
6. Safety, Moderation & Google Play UGC Compliance
NightOwl upholds a strict zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE/CSAM), hate speech, harassment, threats, and non-consensual sexual content. To protect our community:
- Instant In-App Blocking: You can block any soul with a single tap during or after any voice or text session. Blocked users can never match or communicate with you again.
- In-App Reporting: Every call, chat, and Nest features an immediate reporting mechanism. Reports are flagged for automated risk assessment and human moderation.
- Device Banning: Repeated or severe violations result in permanent device-level revocation to protect the sanctuary without compromising the anonymity of law-abiding members.
7. Third-Party Services & Infrastructure
We utilize select industry-standard cloud and infrastructure partners (such as Google Firebase for push notifications and anonymous token generation, and secure TURN/STUN relays for WebRTC connectivity). These providers are bound by strict confidentiality and cannot access user voice data or ephemeral chats. We never sell, rent, or monetize user data with data brokers or ad networks.
8. Age Requirement (18+ Only)
NightOwl is strictly intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow or collect data from minors under 18. Any account found to belong to a minor is terminated immediately.
9. Policy Updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates and regulatory requirements. Material changes will be accompanied by an in-app notice and an updated version timestamp.
