- Your phone number
- Access to your social media profiles
- Your profile pictures or videos

To provide a functional and safe experience, we collect limited data:
- Soul Profile Data: Your answers to anonymous interest and value questions used for matching.
- Technical Data: Device type, operating system version, and IP address (anonymized after session).
- Voice Data: We do NOT record or store your voice calls. All voice communication is peer-to-peer or routed through secure encrypted relays without storage.
- App Usage: Aggregated, non-identifiable data on how often features are used to help us improve the app.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected information to:
- Match you with compatible conversational partners (The Oracle system).
- Maintain app security and prevent abuse.
- Improve our matching algorithms and user experience.
- Enforce our Community Guidelines and Safe Talk Mode.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Most session data is temporary. Your Soul Profile and Moonlight Circle (friends) are stored securely on our servers. You can delete your account at any time, which will permanently remove all associated data from our systems within 30 days.
6. Safety and Moderation
While calls are private and unrecorded, we use automated metadata analysis and user reports to identify potential bad actors. If a user is reported for violating our terms, we may restrict or ban their device ID to protect the community.
7. Third-Party Services
We may use industry-standard third-party tools for analytics (e.g., Firebase) and crash reporting. These services are configured to collect data anonymously.
8. Children's Privacy
NightOwl is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware of a minor using the platform, we will terminate the account immediately.
